Nutrition
Aging is an unstoppable process of life. Quality of life for the elderly, however, can be enhanced in a variety of ways, including a balanced, healthy diet rich in vitamins and minerals.
Malnutrition can cause digestive problems, a loss of appetite and lead to a general malaise and weakness. While energy requirement decreases with age, the demand for nutrients does not. At CAREWELL, we attach great importance to a healthy, varied diet for our residents and guests that include many nutrients and vitamins, such as fruits, vegetables, salads, potatoes, whole grains, low fat milk and other milk products. We serve three main meals each day, supplemented as fruits, available at anytime. We also take great care in ensuring each resident and guest is well hydrated..
Meals are normally eaten together in the garden or dining room. Upon request, the food can be served in a resident’s or guest’s private room. In collaboration with the Managing Director, our chef prepares a mix of European cuisine complemented with light Thai meals offering the varied tastes of Asian cuisine. Our Thai food is savory but not spicy, unless requested.
