Founder and Managing Director

Anita was born and raised in Switzerland where she and her husband raised their two children. Prior to completing a 4-year nursing program at the prestigious Lindenhof Hospital in Berne, Anita was trained and has earned a Swiss certification equivalent to a Pharmaceutical Technician (Pharma-Assistentin (FA).

Anita also has 25 years of medical experience at surgical and orthopedic stations and in geriatric and psychogeriatric care. During this time Anita acquired extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of caring for people suffering from various forms of dementia. Subsequently, Anita transferred to the regional hospital in Langenthal where she received internal training enabling her to work in the Accident and Emergency Room, expanding her already wide-breadth of experience to cover all major aspects of the nursing profession.

Rounding her experience to the business sector, Anita was the Switzerland National Sales Manager for international pharmaceutical companies Sigma Tau and MSD Pharmaceuticals and has previously held positions in marketing and sales, business administration and personnel management.

In 2009, Anita and her husband moved to Thailand where her husband pursued a business opportunity. The move soon presented a unique opportunity for Anita to use all of her professional nursing and business experience in her new nursing home, allowing Anita to realize a personal dream.

Through CAREWELL she can care for elderly people "like at home" in a wonderful setting and pleasant climate. Such a quality of care is either not available or only attainable at a premium cost, in Europe or USA.

As early as next year, CAREWELL will be celebrating its 10th anniversary and taking its place as a leading nursing home run by certified health professionals.

Anita speaks German, French, English and a some Thai.
